Brand Designer
Stream is on a mission to bring fair financial tools to the everyday worker. Some of the world's leading financial charities and impact funds were founding investors, and every product we build is governed by a social charter focused on improving financial wellbeing.
We partner with some of the world's most recognized brands - including Dollar General, Albertsons, Burger King, Five Below and Cardinal Health - to give millions of workers the ability to choose when they're paid, track shifts and earnings, build savings, budget and access AI coaching, all through one platform.
The Opportunity
Reporting to our VP of Marketing, US and collaborating closely with our Senior Brand Designer, this role puts the Stream brand in front of US audiences every day. You’ll craft creative for Stream’s social campaigns, website content, events collateral, and the sales and partner materials that shape how buyers experience Stream.
This is a hands-on role on a small, fast-moving team, with daily creative mentorship and real line of sight to bigger ownership as the US function grows. You will also work closely with our brand team in the UK as part of a larger global creative team, so you get the range of a startup and the support of a more established design practice.
Stream is a Workplace Finance platform reaching more than four million eligible workers across 2,000+ employers. That means your work shows up in two very different places: enterprise HR and benefits leaders evaluating Stream, and frontline workers opening the app on payday. Few design roles give you both audiences.
What will you be doing?
Develop a distinctive visual voice for Stream's US social presence and design creative that stands out in a crowded feed
Own creative for our direct-to-worker campaigns, designing for frontline audiences across email, in-app, print and digital
Design content assets that carry our research and thought leadership: reports, guides, webinar creative, landing pages and campaign systems
Build sales and partner enablement materials
Contribute to and maintain template libraries so the commercial team can self-serve on everyday needs
Support event creative across tradeshows, field events and our proprietary flagship conference
Build AI-assisted design workflows that compress production timelines while holding quality
Manage your own projects, set realistic timelines, and communicate clearly when priorities compete
What we are looking for
Must-haves
3+ years in a marketing-led design role, ideally B2B SaaS or an agency with B2B clients
A portfolio showing range across social, campaign and digital work (spec work is ok)
Strong typography, layout, and color fundamentals, with fluency in Figma and Adobe CC
Comfortable moving quickly without losing craft
Curiosity and comfort experimenting with AI-assisted design tools and workflows
A desire to be mentored and to grow your craft in a role with room to expand
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
Comfortable working with ambiguity on a team that is still growing
Based in or willing to relocate to New York City
Strong pluses
Motion graphics or lightweight video production (After Effects, Runway, CapCut or equivalent)
Copywriting, illustration or photography skills
What success looks like
3 months: You know the brand, the team and the workflow. You have shipped your first wave of production work across social and sales collateral, built a strong working rhythm with your team and know where our gaps are.
6 months: You own the day-to-day creative output. Social has a recognizable visual voice that is yours. The template library is live and the sales and partnerships teams actually use it. You have shipped at least one campaign you would put in a portfolio, and AI-assisted workflows are simply part of how you work.
12 months: You are contributing ideas beyond the brief. You have taken creative ownership of at least one significant surface end to end, whether that is our social presence, our D2C campaign system or our content design language. You have a body of work from this role that you are proud of, and a clear path toward senior scope.
Salary: From $100,000-$110,000 base + Bonus, Equity & Benefits
Location: We operate a hybrid working policy; 3 days a week from our New York office.
What will we do for you?
15 Days vacation in addition to federal holidays, as well as flexible time off allowances for any ad-hoc childcare/family/caring needs
12 weeks paid Maternity Leave and 2 weeks paid Paternity Leave for employees with over 12 months service
Health, dental and vision benefits (a number of these benefits are paid in full for the employee)
We want to invest in you financially, so we have a 401K program
And of course, the best benefit of all, access to Stream!
At Stream we celebrate and support our differences. We know employing a team rich in diverse thoughts, experiences, and opinions allows our employees, our product and our community to flourish. Stream is an equal opportunity workplace. We are dedicated to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity/expression, or veteran status.
